For a glass of bubbles

If you’re searching for a posh place to enjoy the sun, then Leeds is here to spoil you. Let’s start with:

Issho

The luxuriously minimalistic venue tops our list of places to grab a glass of bubbles, with its comfy sofas and elegant service. On the very top of the Victoria Gate development, this is a great place to go when you’ve work yourself in exclusive boutiques and John Lewis.

If you don’t feel like prosecco, then we’d recommend sparkling sake, it’s just a little sweeter, and ever so more-ish.

East 59th

Next up we have East 59th, this New York inspired venue is a touch louder than its Japanese centred counterpart. It’s a great place to grab a cocktail with an experienced team who’ll be happy to guide you through their menu.

Angelica

Wraparound views of the city — need we say more?

angelica

Angelica simply has to be featured on this list, because it’s an easy choice for classic cocktails with contemporary twists. Both its indoor and outdoor seating is a great choice year round, so if you haven’t already been, go now!

Sky Lounge

More than just a hotel bar, Sky Lounge at the Hilton Double Tree is a great spot for lunch and a prosecco. Our recommendation? Go for the afternoon tea, and stay for the cocktail menu.

For a gin and tonic

For something a tad more relaxed, you have a multitude of options in and around the city centre.

Headrow House

This roof garden will already be full by the time we hit publish on this post. It’s inevitable. With cabana style booths and artificial grass throughout the terrace, this is a great place to escape the office for a quick drink at lunch, and we’ll be definitely be there after we finish in the office today.

Lamb & Flag

This gem of a pub is highly underrated, its food is a great date night option, and its beer and gin is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. It feels like you’re far outside of the city without ever leaving it. On the off chance that you haven’t been before, just go — trust us on that.

Water Lane Boathouse

If you’re wandering around the wharfs in Leeds, then take a look at Water Lane Boathouse. Its location is what gains its spot on our list, but the fantastic drinks, snacks and atmosphere is what keeps it here.

The light comes flooding in and you’ll forget all about your responsibilities, it’s a great way to spend every sunny moment.

The Alchemist

If you don’t feel like leaving the city centre, then the Alchemist in the Trinity Centre is a sure fire hit. With innovative presentations and a pulsing atmosphere, this is a great place to meet your friends, soak up the sun, and plan your next move.

We know that these aren’t all of the available options…

… but we promised we’d keep this post quick. So let us know where you’re going to spend your sun time! We’re always looking for new recommendations too!
